January 2010

During the January Meeting the regional partners discussed the overall ideas of the project. Theses six project partners also agreed on some general issues regarding the implementation of the project — project calendar, work packages and work procedures — to be proposed to the transnational partners for the February Meeting.

February 2010

In February, social partners and experts from Croatia, France, Germany, Italy, Slovakia and Spain came together for the inaugural meeting of the transnational network. A joint work plan was agreed upon, working groups were set up and the first milestone has been reached successfully.

March 2010

In March some technical facilities for transnational communication were implemented in Barcelona, Bratislava, Lille, Milan, Stuttgart, Tübingen, Toulouse and Zagreb. After several tests and training sessions on bilateral and multilateral level, a first video conference did involve more than twelve international experts.

April 2010

In April, the experts focused exchange of experience and discussion on three major topics and organised themselves in working groups:
(1) "Employment of elderly people",
(2) "Transition from work to retirement",
(3) "Migration and elderly migrants".
"Knowledge transfer and lifelong learning" are understood as transversal issues to be discussed in all working groups.

In several meetings in May the experts collect some basic information for a comparative analysis and an exchange of experiences and strategies regarding the specific subjects in the three working groups.
